Hp 2133 Mini-note Pc Drivers Windows 7

Hi, I was wandering if it is a good idea to install Windows 7 (86-bit) on a: HP-2133 Mini-Note PC 2.0GB RAM It came with Windows Vista SP1, but I installed Windows XP SP3 because Vista made the laptop almost burst in to flames. But after a while I noticed that XP kinda fries the laptop as-well ( not that much though ) NOTE to people with less than 0 understanding of computer: When the computer gets over cooked it works slower ( but in my case: slower than a snail ) Anyway: I've heard that Windows 7 needs less memory than Windows XP, so that is why I wanted to install it on to the laptop.
