Oklahoma Hp Probook 6560b Base System Device Driver

Work has given me this HP ProBook 6450 for day-to-day stuff. Device manager tells me that there are 5 devices it has no drivers for – one an Ethernet Controller, one a Network Controller, as well as 2 'Base System Devices' and one 'Unknown Device'. Download Driver Hp Compaq Dx2355. Download Special Version. I've tried downloading HP's Support Assistant to get hardware information so I can download and run the appropriate drivers from the support site, but to no avail. Trying to automatically get the drivers through Device Manager doesn't work ('Windows can't find.' ) Here's a photo: I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can get these devices to work when I don't know what they are? Is there anyway of interrogating the hardware so I know what's installed and then I could simply download and install the drivers. Any thoughts?

So I recently reformatted my laptop with a clean install of Windows 7 Pro x64 and I have a base system device missing in the device manager. Can someone help me identify what it is? This is the driver that should remove the base device driver needed issue. Click on it to download it and then install.

The issue is knowing which of these to D/L. In Network get the third (Intel) and fourth (Marvel) from top.

One will work, the other will say not for you on install. (NIC) Don't want the Qualcomm or Ralink unless you have a 3G device installed. Edit – Your pic is too small to read.

Nada Dering Hp Blackberry. For wireless there is a choice of two, Broadcom or IntelPro. Try one then the other. The top IntelPro is a later version of the one below it. We can check out your hardware names in dev manager. Buy might be quicker to trial & error. With HP it first unpacks to a folder in C: called SWSetup.

It wont install if wrong. For wireless there is a choice of two, Broadcom or IntelPro. Try one then the other Broadcom worked, and I will reboot later to ensure this is OK, but from what you say (which makes perfect sense) as it's installed, it should be fine. Edit: Device Manager has now recognised the Ethernet and Network controllers, so Broadcom it was How will I figure out these others thought when they are listed as 'Unknown Device' and 'Base System Device' I simply don't know where to start downloading drivers for these. Do I have to D/L every driver HP has on that page until they install? Surely there must be a way of figuring out what these are beforehand.
